U14 Girls v Hampstead (away), League - 26.11.11

Hampstead provided tough opposition for Bishops Stortford's U14 Girls in Mill Hill. Stortford took a 2-0 lead with goals from Abby and Inka but Hampstead had brought it back to 2-2 by half-time. Great determination in an intense second half finally paid dividends when Abby knocked home the winner from Ellie-Mae's cross to keep the U14s four points clear at the top of the Herts Girls League.

U14 Girls v Bedwell Rangers (Home), League - 12.11.11

U14 Girls beat second placed Bedwell Rangers to go three points clear at the top of the Herts Girls League with a fine 5-0 win. Abby Springham and Abigail Stevens scored one each with striker Tia Dye bagging a hat-trick, whilst Simi Sunda and Louise Crocker standing out with great defensive performances.

U14 Girls v Bury Rangers (Home), League - 4.11.11

The Under 14 Girls extended their run to 25 unbeaten league games (24 of them victories) in a glorious game of football against local rivals Bury Rangers at Freidberg Avenue. They took an early 1-0 lead through an Inka strike before falling behind 1-3 by early in the second half. A spirited comeback was triggered by an outlandish goal from Abigail from close to half way that sparked the team into top form. Inka scored again to bring the scores level at 3-3 and in the last 10 mins it was almost all Stortford but they couldn't quite beat the Rangers keeper despite several good opportunities. The U14s retain their position on top of the HGFPL.

U14 Girls v Cambridge City (away), friendly - 29.10.11

An under strength team visited Cambridge for a 9 a side friendly as a work-out prior to their important match against Bury Rangers. Whilst the benefit might not be obvious from the scoreline, the team worked hard throughout and came away with feet firmly on the ground, ready for challenges to come.
